Hi there, thanks for taking the time reading more about my life.

My name is Carlos Barberis, I was born in Vina del Mar, Chile.

I'm the youngest of 3 brothers and 1 sister.

I went to Saint Dominic School (primary and high school), I was the only one in my family, the rest of them went to the Scuola Italiana.

My interest for computers started when I was at school (Atari 800 XL), that was the reason I chose to study Computer and Information Science (Vina del Mar University).

Since then I haven't stoped working with computers. I believe computers are a tool to create wonderful things, and the biggest reflect of that is how we live our life.

When I finished Uni I was working in my city in Chile, but I wanted more adventure, I wanted to get out there and know the world (or at least something new). I looked at the options (one of my goals was to improve my english too), so I made the decision, packeted my stuffs and, before I could realise, I was flying to New Zealand (June 2006).

I lived in Wellington (capital city of New Zealand) until June 2008, when I decided to move to Auckland.

Here in Auckland, I live near the Sky Tower and the Viaduct, I really enjoy it, and look forward to stay here for a long time.

Thinks I do like: computers (Mac preferable), music (more 70's, 90's), photography, design, architecture, reading, movies (festival), coffee, beer, traveling, eating (and cooking), learning, walking new streets, creating, good conversations with mates, simple stuff really.

Thinks I do NOT like: People that say something and then do another thing (or do not do anything), messy places, noise places (and people), waiting, giving explanations of what I do (except at work), when things don't work properly.

Things I'd like to do: To know a new country every year, learn Italian and French, stop smoking, be remarkable every day every moment, have a dog, write more, go out with my camara more often, have my own house, ...
